Niches, Wainscotting, Crown Molding, and Trimwork

The built in niche spaces and detailed mouldings around the fireplace and windows in this music room are made of poplar and painted white. The light and shadows of the curves of the wood make this room especially beautiful.

The cherry woodwork in this family's great room includes custom crown molding, paneling (wainscotting), window and door trim, a fireplace mantle and overmantle, and a sweeping built-in paneled bar area opposite the fireplace. This 28' x 40' room is dramatic with high ceilings, five large windows (8' tall) and two 9-foot long french doors with elegant curved moldings and ornamental details. The five-part crown moulding with its decorative dentil molding completes the wood trim in this room.

Wainscotting, Stair Trim, Round Wall Trim, and Crown Molding

The foyer, stairwell and upstairs landing on this house all got new wainscot. All the raised panels were custom made to fit the space. The newel post is a newly installed antique purchased online, and integrated with the new handrails and bannister. New oak stair treads were custom fabricated.

This Dining Room off the foyer was completely remodeled. The plain ceiling is now a coffered ceiling with crown moulding. Plain walls have a chair rail and wallpaper and a fresh coat of paint. The unadorned doorway now has built-up door trim, which ties into the wainscotted foyer walls.

The raised panel details are installed around the front door area, and the base moulding ties it all to the existing structural details.

Raised panel details continue down the hallway to the living room and include the crown moulding that goes around the entire space.
